Celebrating Richard Roy

Today we celebrate the beginning of a new journey for our Uni-Select President and Chief Executive Officer, mentor, and friend Richard Roy.  An impactful and influential leader for our team, Richard has shared some meaningful messages with us since the first day we met.

     

His first message to our team when we talked about how the companies would merge together:

We want you. We need you. We love you.
 

We couldn’t agree more. Our partnership has strengthened our teams and driven us to find success.  We add one sentiment to his famous phrase… We want you. We need you. We love you. We’ll miss you.

Richard’s second message to our team shows his true nature and love of numbers:

Top line is vanity, bottom line is sanity.
 

We hope Richard remembers his own wise words, as will we, as he rations his retirement fund spending.

Richard’s final message to us is a source of laughter and levity as we reached achievements throughout the years:

You make me look like a genius.
 

A genius in his own right, we hope to continue to exceed Richard expectations, as well as Henry Buckley’s, in the years to come.

Earlier this month, the FinishMaster team had the honor to help Richard turn the first page in his new book, celebrating him with food, fun, laughter, and a few gifts coined with his meaningful messages.

     

The FinishMaster team is excited for our journey ahead. We look forward to seeing Richard as he sits on the Board of Uni-Select and know he is still a part of our team.
