Jim White Award

This year at our annual Winter Leadership Meeting we introduced the Jim White Award. The award was created in honor of our Founder, Jim White, and inspired by his core values/guiding principles. Earning this recognition is the highest accolade a FinishMaster team member can receive.

When Jim founded FinishMaster in 1968, his plan was simple, build a company similar to existing auto parts stores, delivering leading automotive aftermarket products to collision repair shops. For Jim however, it was more than delivering product at a competitive price, it was building a service model that exceeded customers’ expectations. This principle remains a fundamental tenant of our vision, to continually earn our customers' loyalty through exceptional service.  Our vision and our core values are the primary drivers in selecting the Jim White award recipient.

The inaugural winner of the Jim White award in 2016 was Jerry Piersall.

Like Jim, Jerry has a consistent focus on customer service and is driven to exceed expectations in every interaction, whether it is with customers, vendors, or his own team members. In the 23 years he has been part of the FinishMaster family, he has challenged himself and those around him to live our vision.

Jerry started with FinishMaster as a Branch Manager, and then moved to Operations Manager. From there, he became a Sales Manager and is now a Business Director.  In each of these roles, he has proven himself loyal, reliable, and hard working. He lives 'The FinishMaster Way' and he shares the vision Jim White had back in 1968. Jerry is unwavering in his team’s drive toward success. He personifies our core values, and is truly a part of what makes FinishMaster a great company.
