We weren’t surprised to hear how customers appreciated these dedicated and knowledgeable individuals, so we decided to spend the month of November bragging about them!

We are pleased to introduce you to Osvaldo Codesido, our Technical Representative currently covering the San Fernando Valley and Greater Los Angeles area. Osvaldo displays all the qualities required to be a successful tech rep, an exceptional member of our team, and a valued resource to our customers.

Osvaldo’s vast experience comes from a professional career dedicated to the automotive paint industry, spending the last 8 years with FinishMaster. With an impeccable level of craftsmanship combined with an unmatched business sensibility, he is the definition of an extraordinary tech rep.

A tech rep must be knowledgeable, but they must also be personable. They are often the face of our company, meeting customers when they are at their must vulnerable. Osvaldo prioritizes customer service when assisting with color-match concerns, equipment maintenance, and personnel training. Osvaldo’s manager, Stefan Gesterkamp, credited him for his grit, dedication, and tenacity.

One of the biggest and most impactful duties a tech rep has is coaching and mentoring the professionals of tomorrow. Color-match skills can take years to master and an experienced and skilled mentor is a necessity. Osvaldo has coached many up-and-coming painters, earning an astonishing amount of gratitude and respect in our industry.

When the COVID-19 pandemic required operational shifts to be made, Osvaldo was tasked with supporting branch operations. In short time, Osvaldo mastered our new product scanner tool and evolved into such an efficient support person that branch managers were stunned. Without a hiccup, he transitioned from a dedicated Tech Rep to full time OPS employee. He took orders, pulled orders, and shelved large stock orders. Our western region operations were able to adapt and continue serving our customers thanks to committed team members like Osvaldo.
