The Ultimate Customer Experience, Featuring Fisco Auto Body

As FinishMaster gets closer to celebrating our 50th anniversary in 2018, it’s important for us to take a step back and recognize the people who have come along in the journey and helped FinishMaster become what it is today. From the first day of business, our focus has been relationships with and loyalty to our customers, and some of them have been with FinishMaster for several decades.

What makes a decades’ long commitment to one distributor worth it? Steve Fisco, third-generation owner of Fisco Auto Body (“Fisco”) in Wisconsin, took some time to explain.

 “It’s been over 20 years of working together,” Steve said. “They’re just nice people. Anytime I call them up, they’re ready and willing to help.”

Steve grew up in the industry. From the time he was 10 years old, he would hang out at the body shop every day in the summer. Since 1987, he has worked full time in various roles. Now, as owner, he says his partnership with FinishMaster has only gotten stronger.

“It seems like no matter what we need and when we need it, they take care of us,” Steve said. “We’re treated as if we’re their only customer.”

Gary Jensen, FinishMaster Business Director, has worked closely with Fisco over the years. Recently, Fisco made the decision to continue their relationship with FinishMaster after breaking ties with a long-time manufacturer partner.

“When we had an issue come up requiring us to pick between two manufacturers, we stuck with our distributor FinishMaster – no question,” said Steve. “They don’t screw up getting product at the right time and we knew the transition would be seamless. We treat them with respect and we get it back tenfold.”

Fisco relies on FinishMaster for more than just products, they also utilize tech support. When it comes down to it, what matters most to them is the quality of the relationship.

“FinishMaster seems like a company you don’t have to go back and check your bills to see if prices went up without them telling you,” said Steve. “They’re always up front and always competitive with pricing. There’s a sense of trust, which you don’t get all the time. We try to be loyal to who we buy from, and they treat you the same way. It’s a good relationship.”

We are grateful to Fisco for the loyalty they have given us over the past decades and we look forward to the years ahead. FinishMaster’s commitment to the ultimate customer experience has been essential to the success of the past 50 years. Many things may change over the next 50 years, but the dedication to customers will always stay the same.
