Jim White Award Winner: Dan Selman

For the past two years we have granted The Jim White award in honor of our Founder, Jim White. Inspired by his core values and guiding principles, this award is the highest accolade a FinishMaster team member can receive.

When Jim founded FinishMaster 50 years ago, he designed the business around more than delivering product at a competitive price. His focus was building a service model that exceeded customers’ expectations. This focus remains at the core of FinishMaster today. Our Vision and Core Values are the primary drivers in selecting the Jim White award recipient.

This year, we are pleased to announce Dan Selman as the Jim White Award Winner. In the 23 years he has been a FinishMaster team member, Dan has continually exemplified our Core Values, always keeping the company and customers’ best interest in mind. Dan joined our family as a Branch Manager in Fort Worth, Texas. Since then, he has held several positions on our team, currently serving as Director of Operations—Distribution, Transportation, & Safety.

Dan’s dedication to be the best every day is infectious to those around him. Being an approachable person, Dan has become the “go to” guy for business-critical questions and consultation. He is a selfless individual who has a passion for learning and a consistent willingness to invest in his team members, always striving to Leave It Better Than He Found It.

Dan’s dedication to living our Core Values daily reflects the vision Jim had back in 1968. Team members like Dan truly provide the foundation of our business and continue to make FinishMaster a great company.
